Welcome!
I am a linguist interested in sign language linguistics. My main research interests are semantics and pragmatics and their interaction with prosody, and phonology.
I am currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Basque Center on Cognition, Brain and Language (BCBL) with a Juan de la Cierva Fellowship.
In January 2022 I obtained my PhD in Linguistics at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) with a thesis entitled Focus and Contrast in Catalan Sign Language (LSC): Form and interpretation. During my PhD I worked at the LSC Lab and the Formal Linguistics Research Group (GLiF), and I was also a member of the Centre d'Estudis LSC - UPF Actua de la Llengua de Signes Catalana. I worked in the Sign-Hub project writing the grammar of Catalan Sign Language.
I coordinate the project of creation of LSC competence levels according to the CEFR. Moreover, since 2014 I collaborate in the LSC Corpus project at the Institut d'Estudis Catalans building the first reference corpus and lexical data base for LSC.
I am also a sign language interpreter, specialized in conferences about linguistics. I interpret from Catalan Sign Language into Catalan, Spanish or English, and vice versa.
